DuMOL Russian River Valley Chardonnay and Pinot Noir
DuMOL 2011 Russian River Valley Chardonnay
Brilliant straw color. Trademark aromatic intensity: lemon curd and lemon grass, sweet lime and honeydew melon, offset by floral lily perfume, fresh fennel and bay leaf complexity. Opens to baked apple, quince and richer citrus. Immediately fruit-driven, precise palate: grapefruit, white nectarine, and Gravenstein apple. Lively, tense, and piercing with with sea spray and mint notes. Toasted almond richness and texture build with air. Tangy lime and zest dominates and echo the lively finish. Serve at no cooler than 55 degrees to allow wine’s full texture to sing.
DuMOL 2011 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
Dark rose color, brilliant in the glass. Great purity of Pinot aromas: fresh cherry, raspberry, rose petal, sassafras, and orange peel. Turns savory and complex: green tea, smoke, beetroot, rose hip, and juniper. Layered juicy red fruits on palate: sour cherry, damson, pure raspberry, cranberry, and crisp red apple skin. Darker tones emerge with air, cassis, and huckleberry. Silky fine texture, and always lively, poised, and mouth watering. Great complexity to the lingering finish–bergamot, rhubarb, and mint. Drink between 2013 and 2020.
