Billecart-Salmon Blanc de Blancs
About the Wine: This Chardonnay cuvée has been elaborated from the five grand cru vineyards of the Côte de Blancs: Avize, Chouilly, Cramant, Mesnil-sur-Oger, and Oger. It is a blend of two different years revealing the special quality of the Chardonnay. The fine mousse of delicate bubbles elegantly accompanies its gold color. This champagne will surprise you with its aromas of dried fruits, almonds, and fresh hazelnuts. The creamy sensation of the bubbles is persistent to the finish with a fresh and elegant sweetness.
About the Winery: Since its founding in 1818, by Nicolas Francois Billecart and his wife Elisabeth Salmon, the Billecart-Salmon House, situated in Mareuil-sur-Ay, remains independent to this day. Billecart-Salmon covers around 50 hectares and sources its grapes from a total of 170 hectares in 35 grands crus of the Champagne region. Ninety percent of the grapes are selected in a radius of 20 kilometers around Epernay, where the greatest vineyards are concentrated.
