Harviestoun Ola Dubh 30th Anniversary – Year of Beer Challenge Week 16
It pours deep brown with a burgundy flush and a head the color of milled oatmeal. On the nose it has gently-finessed top notes of fresh heather and honey, subtly toasted malts and vanilla with balancing hints of red fruits and a distant, beguiling smoke. The flavor has elegantly-subtle developing wine-like notes; from bitter chocolate and espresso beans into to a sustained, oaked conclusion. Extended, oaky finish with pine resin, juniper, perfumed honey and traces of peat.
As an added bonus for this special beer we are giving a bonus punch to all current participants of Jack Tipple’s Year of Beer Challenge
We at Tipple’s love to try new beers all the time and we’re sure that you do too. In honor of that we are rolling out a new program to help you try new beer and perhaps revisit some old beers you haven’t had in quite a while. For Jack Tipple’s Year of Beer Challenge we will feature a different beer every week.
If you purchase that beer on the given week we will punch your card. Once you have completed 52 weeks of featured beers we will give you your choice of a Tipple’s Koozie or Tipple’s Pint glass and you will have your name added to our plaque on the wall and be immortalized in the annals of Tipple’s History.
