The Featured Wines

N/V Roederer Estate Anderson Valley Brut – California
92 Points Wine Enthusiast
 – “Thickly moussed, Roederer’s Brut, 60% Chardonnay blended with 40% Pinot Noir, aged two years on yeast is affordable and luxurious. A gorgeous, very dry sparkling wine with aromatics of honey, raisin, apple and pear, it is rich and soft and offers both depth and length. It’s an ideal marriage of bright acidity and ripe fruit character.”

2013 Chateau Ste. Michelle Horse Heaven Sauvignon Blanc – Washington State
90 Points Wine Enthusiast
 – “Coming from the warm 2013 vintage, this is an aromatic offering, with notes of pineapple, kiwi, herbs and oak spices (40% barrel fermented). It’s creamy in feel, but with tart, vibrant acidity that keeps the palate fresh and lively.”

2013 Ciacci Piccolomini d’Aragona Rosso di Montalcino – Italy
90 Points Wine Spectator –
“A rich style, with cherry and plum flavors set against a vibrant structure. The dense tannins emerge on the moderately long finish. Drink now through 2021.”

2013 Tenet The Pundit Syrah – Washington State
92 Points Wine Spectator –
“Shows nice tension between the ripe, dark flavors and crisp, lively structure, featuring a sleek core of plum and smoky tea flavors that carry easily into the long and deftly balanced finish. A little cellaring should soften the tannins. Best from 2017 through 2020. 8,000 cases made.”

2009 Villa Cafaggio Chianti Classico Riserva – Italy
94 Points Wine Enthusiast –
“Here’s a beautiful Chianti Classico from Panzano’s Conca d’Oro, or Golden Basin, one of the best areas in the denomination. It has compelling aromas of pipe tobacco, crushed cherry, smoke and leather. The palate delivers juicy black-cherry, plum, clove, carob and mineral flavors. This wine has a beautiful structure, elegance and mesmerizing depth.”

2013 Seghesio Sonoma Zinfandel – California
92 Points Wine Spectator –
“A lively, zesty red that offers bright cherry and tarragon aromas and sleekly layered flavors of briary raspberry, nutmeg and fresh-cracked black pepper. Drink now through 2021.”

2012 Las Rocas Vinas Viejas Old Vine Garnacha – Spain
90 Points Wine Spectator –
“Cherry and red plum flavors are fresh and focused, framed by notes of smoke, herb and licorice. Light, firm tannins support the polished texture, while balsamic acidity sweeps the finish.”

2010 Taylor Fladgate Late Bottle Vintage Port – Portugal

Deep Breaths, Big Sips.
