Winemaker’s Notes: Deep purple in color, the wine brims with aromas of wild blueberries, cassis, and pleasing notes of forest floor. The palate is initially treated to dense flavors of plum, milk chocolate and framboise. Following, a delightful interplay of violet, anise, black tea, and brown spices soon emerge giving further character to the wine. Silky tannins encapsulate things with a very pure and true finish.

Winemaker’s Notes: The wine has a beautiful hue of dark purple with a crimson band that lines the top of the glass. Aromas of dried cherry and savory plum meld together in an inviting blend of ripe stone fruit. Soft at first the gentle entry leads to a graceful mid-palate with generous layers of ripe, candied watermelon and black currant. A bright band of acidity wraps all around all of these flavors and deftly leads into a finish that drips with fullness and length.
A blend of Tempranillo, Barbera, Petit Sirah, Syrah, and Grenache.
On Sale Thru 1/25: $18.99
About Winemaker Dave Phinney
The history of Dave Phinney ‘the Winemaker’, dates back to 1995 when, Dave took a friend up on an offer and went to Florence, Italy to spend a semester abroad. During that time, he was introduced to wine, how it was made, and had to know more. A few more years of university led to graduation and eventually a job at Robert Mondavi Winery in 1997 as a temporary harvest worker. Deciding that if he was going to work this hard, it would eventually have to be for himself, so in 1998 he founded his first wine brand with two tons of zinfandel and not much else. He spent the next decade making wine for others as well as himself and has now grown multiply companies into internationally renown brands. His international ambition with Locations Wine has led him to Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, Corsica, Argentina and other locations around the globe. The vision here is to create the best possible wine that represents its Location across wine regions of the world. The intent is to make wine less complicated and remove restrictions that limit freedom and sense of expression. As such Locations purposefully blends across appellations to produce wine removing restrictions held within traditional winemaking circles. An ambitious project where innovation and freedom meet on a global journey of discovery, exploring the worlds Locations through wine.
