Winemaker’s Notes: This Sauvignon Blanc from the Horse Heaven Vineyard is a crisp, racy style of Sauvignon Blanc with citrus characteristics. Partial stainless steel fermentation is used to preserve the Sauvignon Blanc’s pure, fresh, vibrant character. Pair with mussels, halibut, chicken, goat cheese.
90 Points Vinous / Anotonio Galloni: Pale yellow. Ripe grapefruit, pear and peach on the inviting nose, with complicating notes of honeysuckle, ginger and orange blossom. Juicy, tangy Sauvignon Blanc with lovely definition and acidity to its brisk grapefruit and lemon peel flavors. This lightly saline wine is firm but not at all hard-edged, finishing adamantly dry and persistent, with lurking richness and lingering ginger and quinine notes. An excellent vintage for this bottling.
