Calera Chardonnay2014 Calera Chardonnay Central Coast
California-Central Coast

Winemaker’s Notes: This beautiful 2014 Chardonnay possesses delightful notes of hibiscus, pineapple and citrus. Flavors are so wonderfully integrated and balanced; Fuji apple, lemon chiffon and a soft, round, sensuous mouth-feel with a nice bright sweet-tart personality. A delicious wine all around.

92 Points Wine Enthusiast: Josh Jensen’s appellation blend is arguably the best American white wine for the price. This vintage offers squeezed tangerine, fleur de sel, lily, apple blossom, apple fritters and a touch of tropicality on the nose. The palate is more steely in structure, with chalk and concrete minerality followed by grapefruit skin and lime flavors, revealing the slightest hint of balanced butter tones. Editors’ Choice

90 Points Wine Spectator: A clean, pure and juicy white, offering a refreshing mix of ripe pear, apple and melon flavors, shaded by a chalky minerality.

90 Points Vinous / Antonio Galloni: The Calera 2014 Chardonnay (Central Coast) is a gorgeous entry-level offering. Orange blossom, honey, chamomile and wild flowers are all pushed forward, but it is the wine’s textural finesse – especially at this level – that makes it one of the very best values readers will find anywhere in the world.

2015 Orin Swift Abstract Red Blend
California

Winemaker’s Notes: As soon as a glass is poured, aromatic notes of Luxardo cherries, ripe black plums and raspberries billow, with intricate hints of coffee, mocha and caramel in the background. The entry is expansive with dark briar fruits, cola and cocoa with tannins that are soft and dusty. The wine finishes with a hint of wild cherry and a lingering sweet oak presence.

90 Points Wine Spectator: Moderately complex, though loaded with zesty, supple fruit and offering appealing notes of black raspberry, smoky beef and cracked pepper. Grenache, Syrah and Petite Sirah. Drink now through 2022.

Retail: $36.99
On Sale Thru 5/24: $30.99
