Wine Spectator 90 Points: This round red offers ripe fruit flavors of cherry and plum, backed by toast and light earthy notes. Well-integrated tannins and fresh acidity impart structure. Shows depth and harmony. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo and Syrah. Drink now through 2019.
Robert Parker 92 Points: It possesses a Bordeaux-like personality, not surprising, since the cu the 35% Merlot in the blend were acquired from the Petrus vineyard! The rest is 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Tempranillo and 10% Syrah planted in an old alluvial river bed with underpinnings of limestone. It boasts a dense ruby/purple color as well as abundant notes of sweet mulberries, white chocolate and black currant fruit, incense, vanillin, and mocha. It’s a complex, modern-styled, Spanish red offering loads of fruit, medium to full body, and terrific balance as well as purity.

Winemaker’s Notes: One of the most solid and renowned wines in Rueda. This wine combines fruit, grass and citrus freshness with the best and purest expression of its variety. It has an intense, long and deep mouthfeel, but it also creates a refreshing, mineral and quite complex sensation. That is what makes it one of the most internationally celebrated Spanish white wine brands.
