Jean-Marc Burgaud Morgon Cote Du Py
France – Burgundy

96 Point James Suckling: Explosively fragrant, aromatic nose with very impressive aromas of spiced cassis and red cherries, as well as raspberries. The palate has a very plush, juicy and powerful, focused finish. So balanced and long. Drink or hold.

94 Point Jeb Dunnuck: The 2017 Morgon Cote du Py is also smoking good, with a similar black and blue-fruited style in its ripe, roasted herbs, wood smoke, licorice, and meaty aromas and flavors. These carry over to the palate where the wine is medium to full-bodied, concentrated, and layered, with some serious oomph and richness that’s balanced nicely by the wine’s purity and elegance.

Retail: $21.99
On Sale Thru 09/11: $18.99

Raymond Napa Merlot 2016
California – Napa Valley

Winemakers Notes: The 2016 Reserve Selection Merlot opens with aromas of cassis, Tahitian vanilla, acai berry and Tahitian vanilla. The plush entry of cardamom and cocoa are complemented by lively and fresh red berry fruit flavors.

90 Point Wine Enthusiast: Rich and rounded, with thick baked plum and cherry flavors. Secondary highlights include clove, cedar and pencil, seasonings that help to temper and moderate the fruit.

Retail: $28.99
On Sale Thru 09/11: $24.99
