Winemaker Notes: The dark cherry/mahogany red color is indicative of the luscious palate structure which leads with briar/bramble berry fruit backed by notes of violets, sweet hibiscus juice, black currant conserves, and red-flesh plum. Meaty and mouthwatering with succulent edges, the full body is built on a tannin structure that starts out silky and fine then builds to a firm yet smooth finish that lingers indulgently on the palate.

For this week’s beer of the week we are presenting a classic, American stout, whose namesake comes from the city it originally was made in. With its roasty, and hoppy flavor profile Bell’s Brewery Kalamazoo Stout is a textbook example of the style.
One of the great things about beer is that it brings people together. There is no better example of this than the collaboration beer. When two groups that may be in competition with each other come together and create a masterpiece. This week we focus on a beer from Allagash Brewerybrewing and Saison Dupont called Brewers Bridge, a collaboration between two giants in the brewing world. Let us know what you think when you try it as the beer of the week.
Winemaker Notes: Deep color which foreshadows intense, but never excessive scents. It combines roundness and austerity. This artisanal Lambrusco from the Chiarli family in Emilia-Romagna, the oldest producer of Lambrusco in Italy. Made from single-vineyard Grasparossa grapes, this Lambrusco has bright blackberry and raspberry fruit. This sparkling red will dance on your tongue before finishing dry.
91 points James Suckling: Dry and fruity with a pretty combination of grapey fruit and graphite. Medium body. Light fizz. Drink now.

With the Fourth of July this weekend, there is sure to be a lot of outdoor activities, even if it is around the house. That means a refreshing beer is in order, and for the heck of it let’s make it a Florida brewery. Enter Jdub’s Passion Wheat. In Jack’s opinion, when it comes to working with fruit in brewing Jdub’s is one of the best. They keep the balance of the beer, while still ensuring that the fruit is represented. It is the beer of the week this week!
