Winemaker’s Notes: The 2016 Lodi Petite Sirah has a beautiful dark purple color that leaves a gentle trail of color after giving the glass a swirl. The aroma jumps out of the glass with notes of fig jam, ripe cherry and fresh blackberry as well as hints of vanilla and toasted coconut. Dark black fruit flavors are balanced with supple tannins, dark chocolate and espresso flavors that linger on and on. The finish has flavors of sandalwood, dried currants, and brambly fruit notes.

Winemaker’s Notes: Brilliant straw yellow color with greenish tints. Bouquet fine and intense, fruity and floral. The wine demonstrates vibrant and fresh notes, followed by a typically almond aftertaste and refreshing tingle. This wine takes its name from the farmhouse of the same name, Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi which the Bianchi family used to vinify the grapes from the surrounding vineyard. Today Villa Bianchi aims to express all the typical features of Verdicchio by bringing out its aromatic notes of freshness and elegance.
