Sixpoint has some delightful offerings, but their textbook Imperial IPA Resin dominates their lineup. Sometimes their other offerings get lost in its shadow, which is why we are featuring one of their spectacular unsung beers. This week, Sixpoint Bengali IPA takes center stage as our beer of the week!

Domaine Lafage Bastide Miraflores 2016
France – Cotes du Roussillo

Winemakers Notes: A custom cuvée for European Cellars and a joint project between Eric Solomon and Jean-Marc Lafage, Bastide Miraflors is a cuvée created from Grenache grown on rocky, alluvial clay soils resembling those of the Rhône Valley combined with Syrah grown on schist in the village of Maury.

94 Point Jeb Dunnuck: The 2016 Côtes du Roussillon Bastide Miraflors is, I suspect, the finest vintage for this cuvée to date (it’s in the same league as the off-the-charts 2015). A blend of 80% Syrah and 20% Grenache from Lesquerde and Saint Martin de Fenouillet, aged all in older barrels and concrete tanks, it boasts rockstar notes of ripe blackberry fruits, spice, dried garrigue, and hints of chocolate.

Retail: $18.99
On Sale Thru 08/28: $15.99

Rutherford Ranch 2018 Sauvignon Blanc
California – Napa

Winemakers Notes: Aromas of fresh citrus,  guava and passionfruit. Delightful flavors of key lime and grapefruit, with a round texture and a refreshingly crisp finish.

90 Point Wilfred Wong: The 2018 Rutherford Ranch Sauvignon Blanc is an excellent example of why food lovers prefer this grape variety over Chardonnay. This wine is nicely framed on the palate, with an excellent crisp touch in the finish.

Retail: $17.99
On Sale Thru 08/28: $15.49

When was the last time you had a gose? I mean a pure non fruited example of the style. Rogue Ales & Spirits has made a great example of one, and it is made salt harvested from Newport Yaquina Bay. This give the beer a classic flavor profile that is both tart and refreshing.

Baron de Ley Rioja Blanco 2017
Spain – Rioja

Winemakers Notes: Pale yellow with greenish glints. The nose surprises you with an attractive explosion of exotic aromas, wild herbs and dill. On the palate, a perfect balance of acidity and alcohol, with a fresh, long finish.

Wine Enthusiast: Fleshy apple and peach aromas lead to a medium-bodied palate. Standard flavors of stone fruits are nice but simple, while this blend of Viura and Malvasia finishes with light notes of apple and nectarine.

Retail: $12.99
On Sale Thru 08/21: $10.99
